Sites for Social Change

World Social Forum
Grassroots and community-based groups that have long been important sites for progressive social change are now suffering from reduced availability of funds and pressure to conform. Building Movement is working with the staff of the Grassroots Fundraising Journal to incorporate Building Movement concepts into their fundraising trainings and presentations. Kim Klein has developed new curriculum and is encouraging organizations to incorporate this thinking into their strategies, not only for fundraising, but for the future of their organizations. She is also focusing on the role that taxes and tax policy play in nonprofit and social service funding.

In addition, members of the Project Staff and Team present findings to groups within the nonprofit sector and represent the Building Movement Project at a variety of venues.
